my weekend, stage 2: mineral makeup

more playing with mineral makeup.

the pictures don't display the results.  it's what my hands looked like after i got done with making 10 different colors.  i think i'm getting the hang of getting intense, well pigmented colors whenever i'm mixing.  i sat outside on the porch in natural light and mixed and mixed.  i love love love the purple i got.  and i got a really nice deep pink that is very similar to MAC's sushi. 
i found a never used painting palette at the thrift store thursday evening for .79 cents.  it had little jars with lids for the paint.  the jars were perfect for mineral eyeshadow so i was overjoyed.  friday i went to michael's to buy a couple artist's paintbrushes to use with my mineral makeup and i saw a palette exactly like the one i found at the thrift store.  it was $5.  it say a lot about me when i said a "yes!" and gloated briefly over the $4 i saved by buying it from the thrift store.  i'm such an inveterate bargain hunter!!!
