i'm the last one on the crocs bandwagon.
i have been lusting after the crocs sassari model ever since first seeing them at the end of march. crocs had just released them. i had been looking for a pair of brown sandal heel-ish things to wear with my brown outfits to work for summer since, oh about december/january or so. when i tried to buy the sassaris, though, they were all sold out. meh.
i have lusted after many many pairs of brown strappy/non-strappy/wedge/non-wedge/vintagey sandals. but here it was, summer, and i still didn't have a pair. times were getting desperate.
well, last week i walked the dogs and the shoes i was wearing were hot and uncomfortable and shitty so i was like "fuck this. i'm jumping on the ugly crocs bandwagon for the summer so i can have a comfortable pair of shoes to walk the freaking dogs at least." when i went to order the plain ol' crocs that everyone (it seems) loves to hate i noticed! sassaris! available! yay! i ordered them on thursday and got them saturday (obligatory shout out to taylor shoes).
i don't want to go back to regular shoes. i have barely taken off the mary janes i bought (in celery!). oy. comfy. and i think they are ADORABLE. (the "regular" crocs caymans not so much, though. they're still kinda fug.)
i've worn the sassaris all day and they are as comfortable, if not more so, than the mary janes. the heel is very thick/cushioning/comfy and really steady/stable, unlike other wedges i've owned.
::sigh:: pure love:
i was really afraid they would look stripey/funky on but they don't. they look much, much better on than they do off. seriously.
go get a pair. they are awesome.

but yours look much cuter on your feet than on the website. I would have never bought them from the way they look off the website.
the sassaris DEFINITELY look better on. i was SO afraid they would look stripey? skater-ey? sporty? too two-toned? i don't know. i was just afraid that i wouldn't be able to wear them with a skirt and look semi-dressy. i think they work, though! i don't know how the other colors would work. the black and white might be okay with certain outfits.
